I’m so excited to be showing everyone what we came up with for our fall mantel. And to be linking up to Layla’s party!
We scavenged all around our yard, and our families’ yards, to find the materials to create our antler wreath…
the rusty banding to create the star…
and the old bottles (literally dug out of the ground) to spray white.
And we couldn’t have a mantel without our letter “B”. Recovered in twine for the occasion. And popping against my old copper boiler lid that I think is art.
I will be posting tutorials later on in the week for the antler wreath and the rusty star.
Can’t wait to see what everyone else did for their fall mantels.

Wow! I just love all the great elements on your mantle! I will be looking forward to learning how you made the antler wreath and the star. Did you make the “B” initial too? Painting your found bottles really unifies them and plays up their interesting shapes. I saw your post over at “It’s Fall Yall” Mantle Party.

Thank you. We did make the initial as well. I originally had a it fabric covered and have a tutorial for that on my blog as well. I just changed it up and wrapped it in jute using the old trusty glue gun. Do you have a mantel at Layla’s party too?

Wow this is so creative. The natural colors and elements work together really well. It’s a very nice collection of pieces.

Love your antler wreath! I have many antlers and that would be a great way to display them in my house (and make my husband happy)!

Thanks! I’m posting a how-to later on… I know that my husband is still in shock…

I love that antler wreath! Can’t wait to see how you did it. Spraying the bottles white was a brilliant idea, and the copper lid is a great touch.

Love all the stuff on your mantel…especially the antlers! I have been searching for those forever here in my rural community but can’t seem to find any! Guess I’ll have to go out and bag a few deer…just kidding! I enjoy your blog.

I love your design aesthetic! The soft, muted, weathered look appeals to me. The antler wreath is just plain cool!
