I got busy with a discarded book this weekend and made a few new projects.
This is one of them. I found this cute tutorial over at i craft with love.
I followed the exact same procedure (except I didn’t have fancy scissors, so I cut my edges with regular ones).
I got all the pages I needed cut while I was sitting and watching a movie one night. I taped the edges together and then slid them onto a piece of bamboo.
I added a little piece of burlap on the top for decoration.

Hi Catherine, you are so right, they are kind of Tim Burton-ish, LOL but they are cute and for you to have cut each piece out without the special scissors must have been hard work and taken a long time. Good job though. Have a wonderful week. Hugs, Chris

Wow! These are so darn cute! Thank you for sharing how you made them…I definately want to make some for my home soon. I was an extra on a Tim Burton movie a few years ago “Big Fish”. As soon as I walked onto the set, I could tell who Tim Burton was by his crazy hair sticking out all over his head. I adore his movies. I saw your post over at “Under the Table and Dreaming”.

I teach Big Fish to my senior high English students! What scenes are you in? I also wrote a couple of film studies courses for my school division and one of them has a directorial study of Tim Burton! I am a huge fan of his work as well. Thanks for your comments.

Love it! I watched Pee Wee’s Big Adventure this weekend with my kids and was watching the credits and Tim Burton directed it (was so surprised). I am a big fan as well. Might have to try the trees this weekend.
